2025 Annual Report to the Community
In November, Hamilton County Commissioners honored HCDDS employee Jack Boehnlein for 50 years of service. Boehnlein is the longest-serving employee in our agency’s history, having worked under every superintendent.
Commission President Denise Driehaus thanked Boehnlein for his decades of dedication. “It takes really inspired people to work for 50 years in an organization that is helping people with disabilities,” she said. “Thank you so much for what you’ve done on behalf of Hamilton County.”
He began his career in 1975 as a habilitation specialist at the Northside Adult Center. Later, he worked at the Franks and Kidd adult centers, supporting people to develop skills for independence.
Boehnlein was also on the HCDDS Supported Employment team, helping people find and keep jobs in the community. Since 2003, he’s been a Service and Support Administrator (SSA), assisting over 400 people.
The proclamation recognizes Boehnlein as “a model of service, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the people of Hamilton County.” It also declares Nov. 6, 2025, as “Jack Boehnlein Day.”
Reflecting on his career, Boehnlein said, “I’m thankful that I’ve had the opportunity to serve each day and thank you for the opportunity you’ve given me to do that.”
HCDDS was proud to celebrate his remarkable milestone and lasting impact on the people and families during the past five decades!
